Designed and created by glass artist Nancy Gong, Crescendo is inspired by nature and the energy of living things. Beautiful life forms and the emotional experiences they bring are the seeds for small thumbnail sketches. These evolve into full sized drawings, then three-dimensional models. This interpretation of nature in colored mouth-blown hand rolled sheet and cast glass, and etchings in harmony with the stance of the steel armature, create bold character sculptures. 
It's whim, spontaneity distinguish the emotions, mannerisms and attitudes of each one of a kind sculpture that make them such a joy.

Crescendo is made with mouth blown hand rolled flashed sheet glass. The glass has been etched with a unique texture created with a liquid resist. The glass is then framed in lead like a stained glass window The steel armature has been milled, formed and powder coat painted. Materials: Glass, steel, lead and epoxy paint.
