Description
"Full Circle" can mean a series of developments that leads back to the source, position, or situation. It can also refer to mandalas or the globes of the earth and planets, spinning through space. The artist applies up to twenty-five layers of acrylic gel medium and paint in between these layers, resulting in rich colours and lines which are stacked on top of each other. The artist shifted the design around on the canvas on each subsequent layer. As a result, the paintings look like planets spinning around each other. The playful lines are like ripples of water on a still pond as a single drop falls and expands on each following layer. The forms are geometric and organic simultaneously, as the circles evolve and merge into one another.
