Description

Composed of thick, bronze-colored glass with flecks of red and black, this sculpture gathers and refracts light with its dramatic texture, similar to a Fresnel lens.  Made from a clay model originally created on a potter's wheel, this one-of-a-kind piece evokes the feeling of transparent wood. It consists of a large free-standing glass slab held upright in a steel frame. The glass slap is approx. 1 inch thick.  The frame is painted black and stands on a wooden base. Placement in front of a window or indirect light source will enhance the refraction of the glass. Sculpture will be shipped ready to reassemble as shown, in a custom built crate. Designed for an interior location. A $200 crating fee and UPS ground charges will be added.  Weight of sculpture is estimate only.
