Description
“Yip, Yip, Yip” is a homage to the Grey Fox, the Mexican Grey Wolf, and the Coyote. All three feral Canids inhabit Arizona’s Sonoran Desert. “Yip, Yip, Yip” references both abstraction and modernism. As in Cubist sculpture, the subject is analyzed, broken up and reassembled reducing the figure to its most fundamental features. Symbolically, the fox appears in the folklore of many cultures as a figure of cunning or trickery, or as a familiar animal possessed of magic powers. The Fox is emblematic of magic, and is a quintessential symbol of luck!
